The Global Coalition for Local and Regional Production, Innovation and Equitable Access welcomes three new organizations: the Latin American Network for Access to Medicines (RedLAM), PATH and the Community and Family Aid Foundation (CAFAF) Ghana.

Their accession brings complementary expertise in community health, civil society advocacy, access to medicines, global health innovation, health technologies and health systems strengthening.

RedLAM is a regional network of civil society organizations working to improve access to medicines and health technologies across Latin America. It addresses barriers related to intellectual property rights, medicine prices and inequalities in health systems while promoting policy advocacy, regional cooperation and civil society participation.

PATH is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health equity through innovation and partnerships. Its work includes vaccines, diagnostics, medicines and medical devices, digital health, health systems strengthening and the development and expansion of health technologies.

CAFAF Ghana is a civil society organization established in 2000 that works to improve the well-being of vulnerable individuals, families, women, young people and underserved communities. Its activities include grassroots health advocacy, maternal and adolescent health, neglected tropical diseases, health literacy and community empowerment.

The participation of these three organizations will contribute valuable technical, regional and community-based perspectives to the Coalition’s efforts to promote innovation, strengthen local and regional production and expand equitable access to health technologies.
